Roll Bar Protection sensor on dashboard

    Hi Guys

Being new to all this and need some help. I went through a puddle yesterday and this morning when I went to start the car it wouldn't start and battery and alternator were fine however the AA man thought it might be a new starter motor, so any help for this would be great.

Also, the roll bar protection sensor has flashed up on the dashboard however the fuses are in tack and also there is no broken bits around the headrests. It is a 2003 3 series Convertible.

Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

Does the car crank over at all, or is it completely dead ?

As for the rollover sensor, I would get the codes read off for that. That should point you in the general direction as to what the problem might be.
