I have an E36 convertible which I haven't had very long and decided to strip out the Pioneer headunit and dead rear speakers and buy new parts.
So, out came the rear aftermarket 5.25" coaxial rear speakers, both were in poor condition, and in went a pair of 5.25" coaxial Hertz speakers, I also removed the old Pioneer headunit and fitted a lovely Alpine CDE-177BT.
The front speakers are all standard and work fine.
After fitting it all tonight though, I'm less than happy. It doesn't matter what I do with the settings, the bass is almost non-existent!!!
I have no subs or amps, just the 4x50 watts the stereo produces, but I'd expect a nice sounding system with decent bass without having to add a sub and amp surely?
My Company car Mondeo sounds better, how can that be?
Am I missing something here?
