    Widebody 530d advice please ?

My Prior Widebody E60 530d is taking shape,( see the projects section ) but on fitting the new rear wheels this morning its very obvious that I'm going to have to lower the car at least 30 mm maybe more.
I'm sort of spent up after all this work so i'm looking for a cheaper way out than say a set of Bilstein B12 pro or B12 sportline.
Over here they will cost me over $2200 , about 1650 pounds so I need a cheaper way out.
No track use, just daily road use.
    Any suggestions please ?
    Thanks

    Nudge Nudge !
    I'm starting to panic !!!
    H & R Sport at 35 mm or 50mm ?
Eibach pro kit at 35mm ?
Both of these will take at least 2-4 weeks to get here :(

    Cheers

Lowering springs can be had for around 200 - 300.

I would go 35mm and both makes are good so I would be looking at which set you can get the quickest

What about some half decent coilovers? At least that way you could get the exact drop you wanted.....

What size tyres are you Fitting to your wheels? That is fairly important to "How the car will look" and wether a massive drop will be nesscescary in order to get a tyre/wheel to work optically.

we know what size and type the wheels are from your Project thread

"The wheels are Aristo 02 retro mesh and the fronts are 10 x 20" rears are 10.5 x 20" "

Take it this is the sort of look you are after

I know it is an M3 and not a 530d AND a different model of wheel

But I guess that he has gone Very LOW (and the tyres have a fair old Stretch).

I would personaly go for a set of coilovers (as previously suggested) as it will give you the flexibility to experiment

The pic of the Viper on this link is what I am getting at, there is to much of a gap between the arch and the tyre, even though they are probably mahooosive rims!
