So i like the idea of more power, I have spent i don't know how long drooling over the HPF Turbo conversions only to decide right this is what i want, to find that they have gone into liquidation, bullet dodged or actually i'm gutted.
So i called around the likes of ESS Tuning and VF Engineering for their current production kits, stage 2 goodies for the supercharger, now......I had reservations, for the money the increase in bhp wasn't how shall i say, mind-blowing, if you fancy dropping 12.5k+ on a conversion (with fitting, remapping, new headers) and getting 450-470bhp dependent on how strong your current engine is.......then by all means do it.
Now, i've been very lucky in acquiring a e60 m5 75k miles for reasonable cheap, cat d smashed from the back, thank you very much i say, got straight on the phone and i'm picking it up this saturday. eeeeeekkkk
The plan is (any many think i'm mad for doing this) to fit the 5ltr v10 lump, 7spd smg box into my perfectly healthy e46 m3.
The car as it currently stands has a very healthy 356bhp, however, the cry for power and torque and that fucking orgasmic v10 roar appeals to me.
I'll keep updating this as i go along, i know i'm going to have major issues along the way, so any hints, tips would be greatly appreciated.
This is the m5 that i'll be taking apart:
This was my m3 before i seriously started toying with it:
This is the most frequent pic i have :
