I had a small request about posting some pics on my Alpina and i thought why not post things that will be done to the car aswell.. The changes won't be dramatic cus of in my opinion Alpina's isn't to be changed. I will mount some LED light in AE's, (plate light done) etc, and some fresh-up's.. Just to show you how i take care of this small monster Maybe some lighter tuning.. Color-glo on seats etc.. We will see what time can do!
Anyways, i bought this car for bout a month ago.. I recently had an 2004 530i E60 so im familiar with the chassis.. Im also into coding, i mean really into I can post the mods aswell if there is intrest, some of them on youtube already. So this car was the official show car in geneve 2005, see link: 2005 Alpina B5 | car review @ Top Speed and in 2006 this car was imported to Sweden, and old man bought it and was the owner of it for 6years, then another oldie bought it and rarly drived for 2years so i saw the car for sale and we swapped cars (With money aside ofc) so here we are!
Sad thing on the other hand that the first thing i had to do was the service.. oil+filter, spark plugs, inspection and microfilter.. But totally worth it! Then a week ago some friends and I were going to this car meet and the first thing that happened when we rolled in was that my coolant hose bursted!! I have temporay fixed it while im waiting for alpina spare part! That is pretty much what is going on right now! And the redlight races are awesome, i mean, the car looks like a slow old mans car but when i hit the gas i can see them in the mirror Very fun!
And for those who didnt know the engine is built on the 545i (N62B44) same as 745i (B7) - quoted from website:
"The B5 is powered 4.4litre V8 engine, charged by a mechanically-driven radial compressor
The powertrain of the B5 immediately impresses through its torque curve, taking on the form of a massive table mountain. At a mere 1,000rpm, just above idle, the V8 puts out 300 Newton metres of torque. Between 4,250rpm and 5,250, there’s a constant 700 Nm of twist on tap. "
More to be found here about the engine: Alpina-Archive | 7-series [E6x]
And as Im always taking radom pics i hope that you can deal with what im about to show you!
So there you have it! The first pics are from the deal! The silver E60 was my previous car. Now, feel free to ask anything.. Requests or just anything! I hope you enjoy and stay tuned
