Thought i would share my new project with you all.
This one is a pretty big deal to me after not getting much time with my son, due to an akward ex, we are now getting on a little better and am getting to spend a good bit of quality time with him, Kieran has come to as many events and been part of my pit crew as well as helped out at the events as much has he has been able to, so as a reward for that i thought what better way than to share something we love.
So when a cheap enough solid compact came up local to me(the ones i had already werre not in the best shell wise) i snapped it up, comes with full mtech kit so that has been taken off and stored away till paint time.
The car sat in my yard for a few weeks until the little guy was down for his summer holidays.
During that time i have been gathering up some bits and pieces as i could. Having done the driftland bash car for Phil Morrison of Driftworks he kindly left me his seat that he had sent up so that will now be Kierans.
I also managed to pick up a set of 17 inch Compomotive Mo's that i had been looking out for a while.
Running gear purchased off of Richard Grinrod that drifts for Driftworks, its the original evo engine out of his ls1 converted m3 skid car.

Also ordered up from Italy a 6 point certified rollcage same as what was in my own white compact, its now arrived and off with the powdercoater to get done in Anthracite.
Basically i will use as much new parts and refurbed decent parts as we go but first thing first as we only had a few days together was to get the interior stripped out
Plan is at the moment is to get as much of the interior stripped out and the dash so i can get that off for flocking. The shell will go down to my mate in the borders to then have the cage fitted and added too, it works out cheaper if he adds more to an original cage ezpecially on materials
The wee man himself getting the bay emptied of all the basics so we can whip the engine out next time he is down
Not massive progress but me and the little guy are doing it together so thats the main thing.
To be continued....................
