I just realised that I hadn't brought my E36 thread over from that other forum, so as i've decided that she needs some love now that my E34 is pretty much finished, I thought I would, so here it is!

    Just bought this bad-boy!
2900 with 89000 on the clock, just given it a full service, and running sweet as a nut!!

Well, time for a little update!

Also got rid of those chrome Headlights finally!
Reverted back to stock, look much better!

    Time for a quick update,
firstly Angel eyes, fitted and looking good!

Next up was to change the original stone chipped roundel on the bonnet!
For this sexy looking carbon fibre item!

While I was there I thought I may as well do the same for the boot one!

Tomorrow, its time to do the brakes!
Upgrading the fronts from solid discs to 22 mm vented items, means changing the calipers and carriers but worth doing none the less!
Will keep you informed on how it goes!

Ok, time for an update on todays antics!

Upgraded the front brakes from the usual horrible 316/318 solid front discs to vented items like those found on the 318is this meant buying new calipers too, but those were sourced on good old eBay for only 48 delivered for the pair!

While I had the wheels off to do that I fitted my other eBay bargain of the week, in the form of a full set of lowering springs purchased for only 30 and they were brand new too!
    Anyway some pictures!

    Front before

    Front after

I was slightly disappointed with the drop at first however they settled down a bit more than that after a quick test drive, however it was dark by that point so the camera on my iPhone would have been useless!
Basically before the drop I could fit my fist between the arch and the top of the tyre, now its only a couple of fingers!

    Rear before

    Rear after

The rear looked awesome straight away! You can just about make out the red spring behind the wheel if you look hard!

Anyway, let me know what you think!

Also forgot to mention, but somehow I have managed to sell those god awful chrome headlights! Somebody out there decided that they were worth 60 on eBay, so now they are gone, it gives me more cash to spend on my car, so I've already made a couple more eBay purchases,

    First up

BMW E36 3 SERIES REAR BRAKE PAD WEAR SENSOR C547 | eBay

    And

BMW E36 3 SERIES FRONT BRAKE PAD WEAR SENSOR C546 | eBay

The ones that were fitted to the car were brittle and just fell apart when I tried to remove them from the old pads, but nevermind, they are not too expensive and i'm hoping that it will extinguish the annoying light on my dash telling me that my pads are low, even though i've just replaced them!

    Another purchase

BMW E36 E46 TAN / BEIGE GEAR HANDBRAKE GAITORS LEATHER | eBay

    And finally this

Short Stubby Car Aerial fits BMW 3 Series E36, E46, M3 | eBay

Should all get here next week so i'll get it fitted!
Needed the new handbrake and gearshift gaitors as the ones in the car now are black even though the interior is tan leather, just seems strange to me!
I'm also going to order up a new set of mats and clips as the ones in the car now are totally shot!

Had the car MOT'd on Wednesday at S+P in Narborough, always use those guys if there's anything that I can't do myself, as they are totally trustworthy and honest and they do a really good deal too!
Anyway, the car flew through, only thing that he said was, and I quote:

"If the police stop you for the letter spacing on your number plates, please just tell them they weren't on the car when it was MOT'd!"

    Nuff said I guess!

    Right, update!
got the airbag light reset at the normal garage that I use, he only charged me a tenner!
Then I came home and fitted todays purchase!
I've been wanting to change the exhaust for some time, but hadn't found anything that I liked the look of at the right price point until Stu and Andy suggested the Cybox Cat-Back SS system from eBay, then when I heard Stu's I was sold, so bought it and it arrived today!

Before, the rusty old tailpipe with gash chrome trim!

Now, the shiny new Cybox pipe!

Many thanks to Andy and Stu for the recommendation, the new exhaust note sounds wicked!

Next on the list is tackling the fitment of my 18 button OBC, gonna give it a bash tomorrow, i'll let you all know how I get on!

Well as I said, 18 button OBC fitment time!

Here is the original 7 Button OBC

First thing I did was remove the clocks to give me access to the cables behind!

    Clocks out:

Before I started to play around with the wiring, I swapped the indicator stalk for one with the BC function on it!
