    My first Project E36 Convertible

    Hi All,

Ill always been a BMW lover iv had a E46 2000 320i, then was given a E36 320i as it was unwanted - tarted it up and got rid of it soon after. Then i bought my beloved 330D iv had it for 5 year and now about to part with it for a new 335....but iv now invested in a E36 Cabbi for a project car. Initially i was bought for a charity drive from Leicester to Barca only paid 500 for it but it was in a state!!! but with a little TLC and a new rad, trackrod ends and ball joints it flew through MOT.... now its time to start making it a special Project car!!-$-kgrhqn-hkfbjcmkzrwbqi80vsfeg~~60_12-jpg-$-kgrhqn-hkfbjcmkzrwbqi80vsfeg~~60_12-jpg-$-kgrhqn-hkfbjcmkzrwbqi80vsfeg~~60_12-jpg-$-kgrhqrhje0fb5shlju7bqi80w-m2w~~60_12-jpg-$-kgrhqv-hkfblyzpf5mbqi80tkc8w~~60_12-jpg

    Then after TLC

Now the project start....going to valet it inside out during the week so more photos thereafter..... i am looking to do a full sound upgrade. any suggestions on what i should do...

I already have a head unit - Alpine 9855. need new sub have an amp. im not sure if i should put component sets in the back or cut out for 6X9's. can anyone suggest what would be best for the front.

    Thanks

It looks pretty clean (even if the picture is upside down). Can't really comment on ICE as it isn't my thing, but what other plans have you got for it?

Looks good so far, though I have a bad neck now

Change of rims and a bit of a drop should make the world of difference.
Be good if you can make the Leicester meet, you'll have the shortest distance to go out of all of us I reckon

Have a look in my journal for a few ice ideas. You will struggle with a 10'' through the ski pass. Get a decent set of comps up front plus a sub amped up and you will be good to go.

Supercharging yours will take more work than mine as the engine is different. I think you'd have to swap the head to make it work. Alternatively, 318is engines cost around 200 and would provide a nice little increase in power. I might be at the Leicester meet but I'll post up in the meet thread as soon as I know. I like the sound of the lights and bumpers, just be careful not to over do the M3 look-a-like thing. If you find yourself sticking an M3 badge on it, slap yourself.

The MV2s would look good imo, although assuming they're 18s they may be a little bit too big for an E36.

If you need inspiration then @mykez's project thread found here and @M3 tim's project thread found here should tickle your fancy.
