Thought I'd resurrect my old project thread from the other forum as I'm finally getting around to some more jobs on the old girl!
Below is a copy and paste (condensed and replies removed) of the project thread:
This isn't going to be anything crazy like... But the paintwork is rubbish at the moment, the interior is tired and the stereo is a disaster! (started a topic about the stereo in the ICE section and got some awesome help!
So far I've done pretty much nothing except put in some black mats and ordered a load of stuff from eBay.
Here's the car:
Oh no... What have I done!!! Ha. God the near side indicator was a pain! I'll get some pics up when I'm done with the ccfls!
Half way there...
3 hours later and with a stop to eat some pasta and feed the cat... I'm done!
Cleaned up all the lenses inside and out, dried it all out and I'm leaving the covers off the back from now on!
I mounted the ccfls on the front of the inner lenses.
They're super bright as well!
I'll take a couple more during the day tomorrow.
A couple in the sun!
Today I had an eBay bargain fitted to my car! £35 off a rear end write off:
Took it to a mate of mine who fitted it for peanuts! It was a real pain to get an M3 rear exhaust section onto a 328... But we got there in the end. Had to cut the 328 exhaust at the small baffles before the rear box, and weld those sections onto the M3 rear box to match the diameter. Looks top notch and the guy did an awesome job! Pictures:
Please excuse the extreme dirt on my car! Not had chance to wash it yet this week!
Next job is to fit my new wiper blades from Andy.
Small update.. Turned out rear tyres were bald!!! So yesterday, on went two Continental Contisport Contacts. Whilst I was there I had laser alignment done and my god... It was so far out it was funny. The track rod ends were entirely seized and had to have a blowtorch to them, but the transformation in driving experience is incredible!
Got loads of grip from the new tyres now, and the car feels so sure footed. It was really skittish before, even in the dry and now it drives like it's supposed to
So ends the copy and paste!!
