    Toe adjustment? 318is 1992.

I need 4WA at some point. Trouble is I'm totally skint as usual and can't afford 90 to get it done right now

My front toe is miles out, I can see the wheels toeing out loads just by looking at the front of the car.
I've found a guide on setting the toe diy on the net but can't find much specific (with pictures, I neeed pictures!!) about how it's adjusted on an e36. My front o/s tyre is dead and I have a spare to fit but would like to improve things so the spare doesn't get ripped to bits.

Any help appreciated I know it's not ideal and no where near as good as getting it aligned properly but I need to improve it. Oh, and anyone who has any negative comments, please go die!

Ok, so it seems there's a 24mm nut that needs to be slackened off and a 13mm that adjusts the track rod. I'm assuming the balljoint on the hub doesn't need to be split? Someone must know? If not I'm gonna wing it!

    missed this mate sorry,

here you go, this is the guide i use, its pretty good
    Sams_Toe_Angle_Calculator.xls

all you need to do is slacken off the lock nut on the track arm, and turn the control arm in or out no need to undo anythi ng else.

hope this helps, if you wat to know anything else give me a shout.

BTW, front track width is 1408mm and rear is 1421mm on e36's

and for conversion purposes, 1mm = around 0.28 degrees

Cheers for that. I found that guide before, just needed to know how to adjust it. Shall we have bets on whether the 20 year old nuts will undo???

    Thanks for the info
