Lowering and headlight issue (xenon e46)

Hi all, has anyone lowered their E46 or other and found the headlights to be aiming at the floor?

The self levelling xenons dont seem to have the reach but I was thinking it may be possible to manually raise the headlight?

Take it to an MoT station and ask them to check the level for you mate - Shouldn't cost much, if anything at all

The level is far too low, I've lowered motors far more in the past but this is a new issue to me.

Found a manual way to raise the beam luckily... Just gonna need some fine tuning now I think.

Do you know how far up to go ?

I didn't think so Getting it to an MoT station and putting it on the machine will not only cost peanuts, but you'll have them set at the correct height

I measured the distance from the ground to the center of the lens and parked the car on a flat level surface pointing at my garage door (from a distance of about 5 meters) wind the manual adjuster (up or down) to get the flat portion of the beam pointing UNDER the previously measured distance.

Mine (LHD Xenon) had been adjusted to pass a UK Mot and required a LOT of adjusting!! still passed on the beam-tester by using that method.

Yeah I brought the car into work and lined it up alongside another motor with the same type of headlights. They are roughly the same now and nobody flashes me to highlight them being too high or anything and the road is lit up well enough so all's good. Besides I'm not paying someone a tenner to fiddle with something that can do in 5mins at work. Please remember theres probably 500k of cars in our one building alone.
