    e46 strut brace

    Hi I am looking to fit a strut brace to my 330i What I want to know is will i need to buy new bolts? thanks in advance

    Why do you want to install a strut brace? Waste of money IMO

    I fitted a strut brace and used the existing bolts

    I have fitted strut braces on various BMW's and combined with uprated arb's find they sharpen the car up nicely thanks for letting me know i don't need new bolts.

    I've just fitted one as despite opinions varying on the worth etc. I've always had them on my cars, and for the low cost and ease of fitting, they do look nice under the bonnet even if they have arguable effect.

    If you want one mate, you go for it and no, you don't need any new bolts, just undo the three existing ones on the strut towers, lower your brace and then retighten to the correct torque.

    This is mine on my 330i Sport, but I made some adjustments to the off-side mount with an angle grinder to create more clearance for the battery terminal, and also painted it in an more OE looking satin black (it came ina highly polished finish).
