recently i got the anti roll bar bushes and drop links (that are fitted to the anti roll bar), done on my car.
i did this because there was a knocking noise coming from the front of the car everytime i turned the steering wheel left to right. it only did it when stationary. or when i moved off. and the mechanic said changing the above mentioned would sort the problem out.
i got the car back a few days ago, and its only slightly better but still making the knocking noise.
also now the steering doesnt feel right, the best way i can describe it is it seems to pull when i do a full lock.
And also the car shakes between 60 and 75 mph.
when the mechanic did the arb bushes and drop links, he took the anti rill bar off completely, cleaned it, took the old drop links off, connected the new drop links to the car, connected the anti roll bar with new bushes, then connected the drop links. exactly in that order.
he said the anti roll bar had selotape wrapped round it, and he cleaned it all off.
i know how it was before i had this work done, and it doesnt feel the same.
if anyone can give me any help as to why the car doesnt feel right after i had the arb bushes and drop links changed, or what could be causing this knocking noise, it would be a great help.
the car is a 530d sport (e60). 2005.
thanks in advance.
