I recently bought my first car. A 1995 BMW e36 318TDS saloon.
However, the car is somewhat underpowered. I've serviced it and naturaly, it improved the performance a tiny bit.
My car is nearing the 200 000km mark. And i was thinking it would be a nice time to upgrade my cars turbo, as it'll soon need to be changed anyway.
My question is, what turbo-kit should i buy? And what other things is needed to change? (Manifold, injectors...?)
I'm not thinking of the biggest, most high-pressure turbos. I would be happy if i could increase my cars HP from the original 90, to 125-145.
I'm a student, and don't have too much money to spend on parts.
My car was fitted with a "chip" by the previous owner. By the looks of it, im gonna guess it's one of those cheap e-bay chips, that only increase the power of about 4-6HP.
So i'm thinking:
New turbo kit - Possibly run the "plumbing" of the turbo from below the engine, to above it (Know this won't help performance, but with a big turbo, it's nice to let people see it xD)
New, proper chip. (Installed by proffesional)
