Not been on for a while, but sick of Googling stuff and not finding the info I need so thought I'd ask!
7 series is coming on well, but I've blown the gearbox.
Started out like a slipping clutch in a manual car, with a juddering when setting off. Then I lost all forwards gears, but reverse is still strong. Looking around I've concluded that there's a very good chance the problem is with the A pack clutch, and having read some guides, it seems a fairly simple fix.
I do have a manual to go in it, but can't afford the rest of the conversion right now with Christmas on the horizon, so I'm planning to fix my auto for now!
I'm having some grief narrowing down exactly what parts I need to order though? According to my research, I need 5 friction disks, 4 metal plates that go inbetween, and a pair of nylon seals to replace the 2 steel seals that have likely caused the problem. Fresh fluid and a new filter too of course...
Can somebody point me in the right direction please?
