E46 325 Ci Sport Air Filters

    Hi all,

here's a question for you all. here opens a can of worms?

i've been looking into swapping out the air filter on my 325. i've been looking at either a replacement panel or the K&N 57i gen 2 which is similar to the old Dave F kits if i'm right?
thoughts and opinions? is it even worth the change?

don't get me wrong i'm not expecting huge (if any) gainis in power, just something a little more throaty (only really with an open filter) and the gen 2 should stop the heat soak issue you'd get with fully open filters.

here open the can of worms lol
    Cheers,
    Dave

You won't see much gains on a cai kit. Too much money for very little improvement.

Get a k&n panel or pipercross panel filter. They will give a slightly better sound. Not really any performance gains. Bonus over OEM is that they can be cleaned and reused so should last you practically the life of your car.
