1.i know the m3 evo backbox fits mine but does the full system fit and is it straight swop?

2.m50 manifold conversion is it really that big a upgrade in power and any downfalls?(please people who already have this done answer this rather than what they have read)

3.mine according to the previous owner was chipped but i have no real proof apart from a receipt for work handwritten with some other stuff(it feels as quick as my old 328 though)but can these be remapped or chipped only?

It was WELL worth it for me, as I got the manifold cheap and did the work myself. If you can do it yourself, save a fortune and the power to cost is definatley worth the effort

Style 5's will need spigots if they're off an E39 74.something mm. Five quid off ebay for four mate. Stars are E34 iirc so the centerbore is the same as an E36 72.6 I think. The 32's, basically depends what model they're off, E39 will need spigots. I reckon you'll have to roll your rears for all although you may get away with 8j style 5's all round with 205/40's but for anything staggered they'll rub like fook on standard rear arches which is not exceptable despite what some of the "cool kids" say. It'll bug the hell out of you after ten minutes!

Evo back box isn't a straight fit. The pipes are a bigger diameter than the 328/325 systems. They can be welded to the pipes but have to be done by a specislist as they are stainless. The m3 exhaust is bolt on but you will need evo manifolds, cat and back box.

M50 manifold is worth it, but you need a remap afterwards. I don't care what anyone says, they are crap without a remap as they feel flat as a fart until the revs are up. Yours will be a remap, no chip possible on the siemens ecu on yours.

CDC, never noticed a difference. Only straight away then never noticed it afterwards.

Double din looks crap in a e36. Doesn't suit the car at all IMO.

The CDV made a good difference on my 328i.

M50 manifold and CDV removal are definitely worth it. Definitely. Mine's so much quicker and nicer to drive after them.

After the M50 inlet and M3 exhaust, plus software, the next step is cams and stuff, but the cost of fitting them and setting them up isn't gonna be worth it, compared to throwing a 2.8 in there and swapping your bits over.

Standard limiter is at roughly 6500RPM. If it hits 7000RPM, then chances are it's been remapped.

Don't you lose a dose of Torques when you fit the M50 though?
The torque was the best part of the 328i for me.

A remap should bring it back.
