E46 330i 'Silencer delete' anyone?

One of the members on my forum has just posted up about his newly fabricated bespoke 'silencer delete' pipes on his E39 M5, and I just wondered if anyone had done anything like this on an E46 (preferably a 330i)?

My butterfly valve is already stuck open so didn't need to use above walkthrough.

i cant see the point myself ya end up turning ya car into some headache inducing kind of noisy track car taking away all its smooth a quiet cruising properties, and end up having to shout all the time to to ya passengers, ya dont wear helmets and earplugs in road cars to stop ya ear drums bursting either so sooner or later it becomes seriously irritating if you use ya car a lot and do plenty of miles...

Yes, I've done the 'Golf Tee' Mod :



tbh. I'm more likely going to go my normal route of a full 'off the shelf' SS system, but just thought I'd ask

I've done it, well, replaced the silencer with cherry bombs(as it was rotted out). Sounded absolutly mint, but resonated really badly at 1800 to 2200 rpm so had to go.
I ended up repairing the original silencer, but going inside and modding the guts.

With the modded silencer it was louder than normal, but not by much. It sounded very good(prob nice from outside), but if your after loud it won't do.
