Hi everyone. I am considering whether to change my tyres from the standard runflats fitted to my 19" wheels and possibly the wheels themselves as well (existing ones are quite scuffed)
Reading through various other posts on the subject I also find the ride quite harsh and renewing the tyres a financially painful process!
My question is really will I get a better ride by changing for smaller diameter wheels and fitting higher profile tyres to try and closely match the existing overall diameter ?
Should I stick with the existing tyre widths and wheel widths ? I'm guessing yes but am not very knowledgable on the subject so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have 19" style 313m wheels at the mo (8" front and 9" rear) and am thinking of changing to 17"? Should I stick to same wheel widths?
Existing tyres are Bridgestone potenzas 225/35R19 88Y front and 255/30R19 91Y rear hopefully good for another year but after that I would prefer to go non-runflats and put a sunny spare in the boot.
As I say I do not know much about the subject so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Finally any advice on reasonably priced alloy wheel suppliers would also be great.
