    Matador tyres (owned by continental)

Seeing these pop up a lot. Similar tread pattern as the contis and nothing but good reviews. Anybody got any experience of them? I need 2 rear tyres.

to be honest they have best review of them all, including top brands. I was really considering them but gave up on the idea due to wrong sizes for my rear wheels. they are made by contis however I guess the quality of materials used would be slightly different as they would not make same quality tyre for fraction of the cost of contis. saying that, if i could get correct size for my rears I would already have them on, instead kumhos.

they must be an odd size as Camsksll are selling the MP 46 Hectorra 2 - 265/30R19 93Y XL TL for only £60.60 + £2.99 shipping, for that price its gotta be worth a punt?
suitable MP 46 Hectorra 2 235/35/19 for my rims are a whopping £114.50

they are m5`s, so originals were 285 35 19", so got kumho 275 35 19". matador only does 285 over 50, which is 4x4 cars. 275`s are just on the rim where 265`s would look sort of stretched I guess. have to say it was a mission to get kumho rears, i was calling all over UK even DE nobody has them but one place..

    Matador Tyres

I have had 4 Matador MP46's fitted to my E61 520 m sport and can say they are just as good as the £300 per corner wheel splitting, uneven wearing Dunlop SP sport run flats in terms of handling (all weathers) noise, and actually a better ride as the side wall is not solid. These were suggested to me by my local tyre centre to which my reply was "what the hell are they" i looked at all the reviews and thought give them a go. At half the price of the one and only run flat that exists for my wheels (245x35x19 93Y XL) they are really worth a look. cannot comment on wear as i have not had them long enough, but certainly so far so good. hope this helps.
