Hi folks, Im new to the forum and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a space saver wheel for my 320d coupe? Had it in for service last Friday and the rear driver's side alloy is cracked, which BMW don't cover under warranty even though to me it seems to be a defect with the wheel and not caused by the infamous pot hole curse or bad road surfaces. In fairness the service manager did say that they would test and examine it and if they were of the same opinion he would approach BMW and see if a repair or replacement could be offered at a subsidised rate. Anyhow, whichever route I end up going down I want to replace the ridiculously expensive and noisy runflats with standard tyres, so I am trying to get information regarding what size of space saver wheel I need as there are loads on ebay. I know BMW do a specific 3 series space saver kit, but I dont want to pay £309 if I can put together a similar solution for a lot less. It is either that or a tin of tyreweld in the boot, which has got me out of difficulties in the past on my bikes, and a mini compressor. Any information or advice/thoughts greatly appreciated.
