Iím new to the Forum, and have most recently entered the BMW flock.
Iíve got a wheel fitment question and was hoping that someone could help shed some light on this issue.
Here is the situation:
I have a 2011 328 coupe X-drive with the sport package. Iím currently running on the stock 18Ē wheels (style 189), 225/40 ET34 (front) and 255/35 ET37 (rear).
I recently bought a set of used 17Ē BMW wheels with practically brand new winter tires. At the time, I didnít realize that the wheels were off an E60 5 series Xi. More specifically, the wheels are BMW style 243 with 225/55R17 tires and an offset of ET43 on all four. (center bore: 72.5mm)

I know that the proper 17Ē tire for my car should be 225/45, and that I will have a slight speedometer variance, but Iím fine with that.
My main concern is that the higher offset and larger sidewall will cause rubbing on the fenders or damage to the suspension struts, or both.
I would really appreciate your opinion and wisdom on this issue.
