New Wheels!

Well last Friday I had these delivered. Forgot to take a pic of them as they came so here's the link

After searching and trying hard to avoid the csl style I ended up getting them in the end. In simple anything else that I saw that I liked was too expensive to settled for the popular choice. I do like them but just wanted to be different but ran out of patience I guess. I do love the deep concave though!

Now the wheels came in gloss black which I didn't want...I wanted satin so I've rubbed them down with a combination of 800 grit wet sanding and dry grey scotchbrite pad. I am going to finish them with simoniz tough coat satin black to match the grilles that I painted satin black as well.

For now here are some pics of them prep'd and wait for paint. Will update when they are painted! My finger tips are SO sore from all the rubbing...getting into the corners was a nightmare!

realy nice wheels i want them, +1 for painting new wheels, csl and bbs lms have been done to death i reckon thats why the price of real csl wheels has dropped from 2k to 1k.

OCD???...never!...not me!
I've never had after market alloys before so its all a bit exciting! haha! I'm not a fan of gloss black wheels...think it takes away from the wheel plus the finish was horrid. It looked like 3 or 4 very thick coats - all orange peely and nasty...rounding off the edges / angles of the spokes. Not that it mattered anyway as the intention was always there to change them to satin.

As for new wheels getting rubbed down...I did think about that but tbh with you...I just have to have it exactly as i want it. (i'm not OCD...honest) haha!
