    Wheel pricing help

    Alright fellas.

I am looking at a set of M5 style 65 reps in 17" for the 3 series.
They come in Kumho and Avon rubber which is apparently very good.
They guy wants 200 for them.
I know they are worth what I want to pay, but some idea of there value would be helpful. He isn't going to budge from 200, I've tried!

Here is a picture(Not actually wheels, but same type and colour):

    Thanks!

Provided the tyres are good then yeah, it'll do.

Well I was all set to go and pick these up this morning, I got the guy to check them one last time and now he says the tyres are worn on all the inner edges =/

Not worth me having them now as I need something I can run... =/

Shame because I really liked the wheels and was looking forward to putting them on the car

He's obviously been running them on a motor that needs alignment have you seen them in the flesh Ben or could he send you a pic mate as if the inner edge wear is minimal the tyres will still be legal.
The legal limit for minimum depth of the tread on your tyres is 1.6 millimetres, across the central of the tread around the complete circumference of the tyre.

    ???

His car must have been all to fuck to wear the rear ones as well Simon! He said they are still legal, but didn't give me any depths. Its about 1.5 hours away so to far for me to go and have a look really. I am wary of having tyres worn on the edge as although like you said they can be legal we get stuff failed for them quite regularly and the road side coppers play by there own rules

Do you know if they are for the 3 series @Tjp8 ? I don't think the genuine 5 series wheels will fit.
