The previous owner of the E70 was categorically not OCD about wheel cleanliness, hence the (vast, vast) expanse of metal behind the spokes is pitted to fuck and has brake dust bonded to it
This really fucks me off because I used to keep the insides of the E92 wheels as clean as the outsides (the advantage of big rims being that you can get a brush in around the brakes easily).
So, my plan is to whip the wheels off, use a bit of mild grit paper to sort out the pitting and spray the insides of the wheels (and chuck a coat of silver hamerite on the calipers and disk inners while I'm at it).
- What's going to be the best match for standard silver alloy wheel OEM finish?
- Do I need to prime them before I spray them silver?
- Who the fuck buys a car for such a massive wedge of cash and then can't be bothered to get a long handle scrubbing brush (or more to the point, pay someone else to)?
Sorry, that last one's not really a question. The answer is a moron.
Answers and experiences muchly appreciated
