    Bmw X3 airbag fault

Hi guys.im a newbie to the forum.
I would appreciate some help with a fault ive got on my 2004 X3.
The air bag light is on,so i plugged it in to see what the fault was,its coming up as.
Air bag sensor B pillar, left side, (x direction) incorrect measuring range.
Now ive found the sensor on ebay.however i dont know where to accually locate it on the car!! Please dont say B pillar as dont know where that is.!! Ive googled it but it appears that there is no thread on google about it??
Please help got mot due this week so its going to fail.

    Matt.
