Forget about comparison sites. Call up independent brokers, or a company that deals with them, that's how you get good deals

They have all gone nuts, cost 230 last year for the bmw and has been about the same for the last few years , they all want over 400 now and that is after I reduced the mileage allowance since it only did 3500 last year. Excess has gone off the scale as well, will try ringing my present insurer but don't hold out much hope.

Get this, I had a private car policy for years back in the early 90's but during that time I had a naughty and a whoopsy and paid the cost, then got on commercial insurance in the late 90's to late 00's and then got on a classic policy for about 6 years, 0 crashes, 0 points, 0 claims, 0 offences and recently got a private car policy again for the 318 and got quoted nearly 3 large! This I reckon is because I will be using different roads on a car policy. Average price was 1200 but I went with a company that used to only insure girls and got it down to 400. I have to drive now wearing a dress, but the savings are huge! That was for the 1.8. I own a 3.5 and drive a 4.0 too!

There is no sense in the world.
