T88 ACY - E36 M3 Vert Estoril Blue In Pinner (pic)

Saw this beautiful M3 vert in my local pub The Case Is Altered in Pinner today

Really nice car looked very well cared for so thought it could be a forum member.

Whenevr I see an Estoril Blue E36 M3 I consider going for something older rather than newer for my next car. I don't know if the BHP/0-60 times can be accurate though, would one of these still out pace a 335i for example? Doubt it... but I bet it's a damn site more raw as a driving experience.

And it's probably a lot more reliable than a 335i (having found out a chap I know has broken down twice in his). The registration plate, suggests a female owner. You should have been on the prowl, Mr. Panther

Not sure about standard but I got smoked by a remapped 335 at Santa pod and my m3 was 337 bhp on the printout.

When the mag did a feature on my mapped 335i versus a mapped E46 M3 at Santa Pod, the 335i was quicker.

Evo tested a mapped 335i auto versus an E92 M3 DCT and the 335i was quicker to 100mph, and through all the in gear increments. Post 100mph, the M3 had the legs.

Less power and pretty much identicle in weight - it makes no sense..

My evo is as fast as a standard 335i, but as soon as that 335 has been mapped I stand no chance...
That's life though, I would rather have my s50 engine as it has proper character and can still outpace most things on the road even though it's worth bugger all and 15 years old.

So true. It still amazes me that the engine is that old and can do what it does to much newer motors!!
