Hi all, ive got a 320d euro4 with a turbo from a 520d (163) also euro 4 gt1752 as opposed to gt1749.
The car was remapped with the old turbo and ran great, it absolutely flew.
With the new turbo however, (520d GT1752v) i seem to have a problem with the boost falling off rappidly at around 3.5k onwards.
the turbo itself was from a car that had done 20k. Zero play. So it works fine and the actuator works fine too, moves freely to rule out clogged or sticky vnt vanes.
I beilieve the map may be the problem but i cant be sure.
So far ive checked and repleced the following items for oem, bosch or bmw parts
air flow meter maf ( bosch )
new underfloor fuel pump and filter ( bosch )
Boost pipes tested to 2.5 bar
intake pressure tested to about 1 bar but wouldnt hold any more air as one of the cams must have been open ? Not sure on that one.
I want to ask if anyone has any suggestions on what to check.
I had the car terracleaned recently and injector balance test on DIS shows near perfect values. Around 0.0 to 0.5
(Acceptable values are -5 to +5)
The car has error codes for glow plugs/controller and that is all. Nothing else.
Can anyone help, as im close to giving up!!!!
