    You are better off using DIS if you have a D-CAN Ken.

    Forgive my ignorance on this subject but I dont know what DIS is yet..... Can you enlighten me or should I start with INPA EDIBAS and then progress....

    Don't think INPA has all the features for your car so google 'bmw dis' and do some reading . Also, you don't want to bridge pins 7 & 8 because they are used on your car for ethernet speed connection.

    Yeah, I haven't modded the 7/8 pins.... so it should be ok..

    Is there a working copy of DIS on this site??

    Nothing on this site but Google is your friend . V57 and you will need vmware

    I tried to install with win 7 but it says that it is only compatible with XP... Do you think it will work with backward compatibility or should I get DIS instead..

    If its Win7 32bit simply force the program to be compatible with XP by right clicking the program to be installed, click Properties, select the Compatibility tab and tick the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and Windows XP Service Pack 3 should be the default program.

    If you have Win7 64bit the same process may work for INPA but unfortunately most copies of DIS wont run on 64bit OS

    its not hard you soon get the hang of it ive only bin messing wiv it for around 12 months before that ide never even seen it before...

    it has virtually everything ya need to fix diagnose and reset stuff on ya car...
