INPA and NSC Expert connection error

Good Morning, I've been trying to get INPA and NCS Expert working for days with no success. I've bought one of these cables off eBay BMW INPA K+DCAN D-CAN OBD2 USB INTERFACE PROGRAMMING DIAGNOSTIC CABLE UK SHIP | eBay and installed inpa version 5.0.2 with NCS Expert version 6.4.3, I've got it to recognise battery and ignition but when I try to access the airbag module to test I get an error that says IH-0009 You either have an outdated .. \ EDIABAS \ ECU \ T_GRTB.PRG file, and / or incorrect versions, diagnostic or off F01: SGBD Index. I'm not sure weather it's out dated software or the cable, I'm trying to code an E93 2008, when i find the T_GRTB.PRG file in the ecu folder the date created was 2005 which is before the E93 was released, any suggestions?

not IFH-0009 ? have you tried contacting the seller for support, I'm pretty sure my INPA version doesn't cover your 2008 model.

surely you should still be able to access airbag module via INPA to reset errors etc ?

Correct, did you check if the error is IH-0009 or IFH-0009 the latter is a common connection error ?

You may need to update your daten/IPO files using the latest ISTA-P for INPA to reconise your car. Also heard DCAN cables with a blue pcb are pretty much useless.

ya still need INPA with the correct sub files and as the most common INPA out there pre dates 2006 i doubt its gonna work like a sewing machine on any 2008 car, ya still need to select ya car model before ya do anything exciting..

i have an alleged 2010 version Inpa not tried it tho...

I have the option to select the E90 chassis in inpa but when i try to access the airbag control module i get the error message, i have just checked and it is IFH-0009 not IH-0009. I think i may try wiping everything and try a fresh install if i can find the right version. I have found a seller on ebay that says he will send me a disk with dis/sss/inpa and ediabas that will work, is there anywhere i can download it on the net?

The cable i have bought is not the blue one its a clear plastic one, the guy who sells the blue ones is who said he will sell me the disk.

Just clicked what you meant by the blue pcb board, i have just looked inside the lead and it does have a blue pcb so that may be the problem.

Been looking at buying a IBM T30 but not sure what other hardware/software i will need with it?
