    Fitting needed

    Alright chaps.

I want to fit a boost gauge and am going to drill and tap a hole into the EGR valve to get the reading from.
So I need a fitting to slip the vac tube on, anyone know where to get one and what they are called?

Try these people Rotec Hydraulic Components, Somerset | Rotec Hydraulics Somerset | Suppliers of hydraulic components, pneumatic components and electronic components they do all kinds of fittings and would probably be able to make it if they don't stock it.

Most of that is in my thread mate

Going to drill and tap into the EGR valve.
Gauge has a bulb in, majority of them do(will see if I can find an amber one).
Want to keep it subtle so am thinking in the pocket by the right knee or mount under the dash by the left knee so you look down at it. Will have a look once I get the gauge and see where it will fit/look ok.

I have a VDO Vision Gauge, my plan was to mount it in the drivers side air vent (like I did on a golf)..... bought spare vent to do it. kinda lost interest in doing it now, but would be interested to see where you install it and how you go about wiring it in.

I'll have a look through your thread...

Careful - fitting gauges can get addictive!

Have you thought about getting one of these...

Mini OBD2 V1.5 ELM327 Bluetooth Car Fault Scanner Auto Scan Tool Adapter Can Bus | eBay
(Plucked from random on eBay - I am in no way affiliated with the seller.)

Bluetooth obd2 link - you can link it to your phone and use an app such as 'torque' to have real time info from your engines existing sensors.
I used this on my Impreza WRX to have a constant boost gauge on my dash mounted phone - best bit is, you can change the screen to have individual or multiple displays on the screen at one time, (I.E - speed and boost etc...)

Gauges are cool, but they don't look like in modern BMWs.
Just want to get a feel for what the turbos doing so I can see any differences once mapped..
