Calling all e46 M3 and e39 M5 drivers.
Do these cars NEED to be run on super unleaded?
My old e36 M3 had the sticker on the fuel gauge, '98oct and above only' and so I stuck to that.
Is this the case with the newer M* models too?
I appreciate its best to run any car on the best fuel available, but I only ask; as the local fuel cartel has recently stopped importing super unleaded into the Channel Islands for anything but Motorsport use...
Meaning the best rated fuel we can obtain is 95oct.
Not that I'm currently in the market for a new car, but it would be nice to know ( if the right deal came along) I wouldn't have to run it on inferior fuel.
