Just a quickie, im reassembling the running gear on a '73 E9 and am wondering... The driveshafts will fit either way around on this 70 odd thousand miler so would it beneficial to install them so they run in the opposite direction to what they once did. I fear it may knock the bollocks out of them quicker though. As they sit at the moment they hang at the angle they have been accustomed to from the diff to the hub inner, probably due to the cv boots drying out or something. So turning it around would change all that. All in all, they are A1 in condition. What's your thoughts? I'm leaving them as they were unless I hear good things.
