Hoping you can advise me. I'm looking at taking out a new 118i Sport on a 3 year lease with 39,000 miles. I've been offered a maintenance pack which includes all services, MOTs, tyre replacements and anything else that might go wrong with it. It's just under £1300 over the three years. I've been trying to work out whether that's a good deal or not. I've found out that replacement tyres are about £250 each and the services are about £200 each, but I've not had much luck working out how often those things might need replacing. I've got a four year old Mini at the moment that we had to replace the brake pads on which cost the best part of £600, so if the brake pads go out on the BMW within the three years we'd have saved money by taking the pack, but who knows.
Can anyone offer me any advice. Is it worth not taking the pack and risking it, hoping there's no major problems, or is it likely that I'll have around £1300 or more worth of stuff that needs to be done to the car over the 39,000 miles.
