I don't normally put posts like this up as I'd like to think I'm capable to making my own decisions but I'd really appreciate some enthusiasts input on this;
I've been weighing up lately whether or not to turn my 325i into a Sport 'lookalike', the whole kit and kaboodle, wheels, bumpers and headlining basically. Now, the plan would be to buy a ropey sport, use all the bits and sell all the bits I didn't want which according to my rough calculations will probably cost me ~£500 depending on 2 main factors 1) How much I can get the car for 2) How much I can recoup.
In the cold light of day I have to think; will that make the car worth ~£500 more when I come to sell it? and the answer is 'no'. Plus being completely standard (on the outside anyway) is kind my car's thing so would I be doing it a disservice by changing that? Does it actually stand out more (in the enthusiast world, not the average punter) as a clean standard car anyway?
So that's the question really, what do you lot reckon?
