Anyone notice their HIDs getting more yellow with age?

I may be imagining it but I'm pretty sure my HIDs are not as white/blue as when I originally had them installed 1.5 odd years ago.

There are mixed thoughts on google. Some say, they have noticed the bulbs go yellow and some say the opposite happens and they get more blue!?

I'm not referring to the colour changing after a few mins of the bulb warming up. I'm referring to fully warmed bulbs now compared to a year ago.

    Any thoughts please?

I thought about replacing mine with these
D2S Xenon HID Headlight Bulb - 8000k (Blue tint) Upgrade

I haven't checked the manual yet (and doubt they'll tell me about swapping out aftermarket HIDs anyway). Are the bulbs easy to swap over?

    Thanks

    Johann

I have 55w 8000k. Due to higher power (55w as opposed to normal 35w) the colour gets "washed out" so it was very white with a nice blue tinge at certain angles

Bulbs are cheap enough mate, not sure on fitting them on an e46 but I wouldn't have thought it could be that difficult. If it makes any difference, I thought they looked really blue when I saw your car
