Costs involved and parts list for e30 24v

Ok guys just out of interest and for future reference I wondered if someone in the know would put up a full parts and cost list (not including labour) on building a e30 24v say m52b28 engine in a 316i 2 door?

It's something i have always wanted to do and hopefully one day will! I just wondered if anyone in the know was board and fancied putting a list up for me and anyone else who wants to know?

So I'm thinking plain parts list and prices for just the engine conversion then a separate list for some half decent break upgrades and suspension?

If no one posts anything it's ok its just out of curiosity and after watching lots of e30 vids :p haha

    Thanks in advance guys

What about weight tho ralf? And the cost of a v8? There is actually a mint 540 manual on auto trader now sub 2k it's smart! But it just out of interest anyway as there won't be a third car anytime soon

Bmw V8 is pretty light Niall and i brought a complete 7 series for £400 which had a great engine in it, i recon around £1250.00 in parts to do the engine conversion mate, then you would need to look at brakes mate, not sure if e36 evo jobs fit, but would do the job nicely mate or better still why not stick a Ford V8 in your e36 have a read mate

V8 is cool, light engine, all the parts to do the job can be bought, manifolds and exhaust will cost a fortune, your looking at over a grand to do a M52 into a E30 mate.

Be different and stick a Nissan 2 litre turbo in it and boost it to fuck
