    auto gearbox question

    hi on auot box 328 e46 would lack of transmission fluid effect a slugglish change or is there a sensor or torques convertor wat is common fault?

    Low level of fluid could cause this issue yes, but so could so many other things - you really need to get the fault codes for the auto box read and see what that says, otherwise you could be throwing money at something with no real effect.

    You could try the fly-by-wire reset for the steptronic box adaptions to see if it makes a difference.

    can u explain bit more?
    im getting transmission fluid changed tommorow i have no record of it being changed so its for my benefit as well as the car i not long owned it

    It's a simple enough procedure TBH....

    Turn key to position 2 and count 10 seconds
    Turn key to off and count 10 seconds
    start engine.

    Your throttle will now be reset and ready to learn your driving style.
