That's kind of what comes out from the engine of a Derv too

How does the car feel now after the gearbox oil change?

It's been often said 'Sealed for Life' really applies to the 'life' of the manufacturers warranty rather than the 'life' of the vehicle!

    Sent from my GT-I9100

It changes gear more easily and make less noise, the reason I change both diff and gearbox oil was a mild whine, the diff oil made the most difference and the gearbox oil silenced it completely.

It did look like derv engine oil though, amazing!

I changed my 330Ci oil and it was like that.
Just changed my Honda oil as well and not as bad, but needed doing.

As said "lifetime" is manufactures warranty

have to say, was changing mine at 100K and it was no where near as bad. it was few shades darker than new one in, basically was light brown as opposed to fresh yellow. - pretty much what u read and others experienced. yours one is way too dark.

Do the BMWs have a changeable filter for the autobox?
