    7 Series

I have suddenly acquired an intense urge to own a 7 series, either a E32 or E38.....

    Am I mad?

The fuel and maintenance costs must be awesome on these things? They must be slow as fuck and handle crap as well?

They just look so cool and have great presence

Leave the V8 alone and get a good spec 728i as you wont have the issues, de-bagde and job done mate

Love the e38 very much and even a 728 is a very cool car

Low and deep dish alloys for me and go cruising and dont be put off by autos either

I still miss my e38 740, it handled amazing and shifted when I put my foot down, fantastic car.fuel wasn't to bad 30 mpg on the motorway.
But I agree go for a late 328 sport long wheel base with all the toys.

I would most likely go for the 6 pot anyway, but are the V8's dodgy then?

Thirsty I'd think, but Tim doesn't seem to think they're that ravenous. The E38's look awesome... E32's a bit dated these days - haven't aged well IMO.

I would guess low 20's around town due to the weight and auto box. Maybe 35/40 cruising at 60mph?

Like you said the E38's look awesome

Have to get one thats post 1998 then to avoid the Nikasil block Raffa?
