Cheapest/most effective way to sort bad rust on E46 front arches

Apologies if this has been covered before but I can't find a good thread on it so thought I would start one.
As I'm now back in work my car is getting the attention it badly deserves - major job it rust which is bad on both wings.

One where I slightly knocked it is just horrifc completley gone through and there is now a 5/6cm long patch where the paint is all gone - getting worse by the day.

What's the cheapest option? Can a body shop do a good job of this or am I best of just getting new wings?
    Found these on eBay:
BMW 3 SERIES E46 98-03 PAINTED FRONT WING RIGHT O/S NEW | eBay
Seems reasonable value any one used these?

Or how have you sorted your rusty wings?

Rust is like cancer, cutting it out or replacing the component is the only way to eradicate it...

This threads useless without pics mate.

If its that bad get some replacement new ones and get a local bodyshop to spray them up or have a go fixing them yourself

The drivers side on mine is just the same I've had the car less than a year, and when I bought it, they were perfect

I'm just gonna remove the wings all together. This removes the rust, and prevents anymore rusty arches

Yeh I think replacing them is the way to go.
Sorry I haven't got pictures not actually with the car today lol!
Do you think those ebay jobbies would be alright? I'm concerned about the paint matching

Hopefully they will be ok but will stand out a little as its fresh paint.if your handy machine polish the car and blend it in better as it will be even more.

For that price painted you have nothing to lose

I would either have the rust cut out or get second hand replacements in the same colour.

Yeh thought it was good value.
I had new sideskirts painted up when mine were nicked and they look perfect that was a proper BMW sprayer though and the price was in accordance with that

Problem is it's estoril blue and there just aren't panels around on scrap yards etc
Why would you not go with those ebay ones?
