    BMW 3.0D engines

    Does anybody know if the 3.0D sludger engine will run on Bio Diesel ? our Gold 1.9 TDi does but lots of engines wont.

    Noooooo, they are common rail mark and the high pressure pump won't last long mate. Bio diesel doesn't lubricate so the vanes in the pump wear away. Bio is no good for any common rail.
    The golf is PD so runs a different injection system do you can get away with bio in them...

    If your gonna do that go for another vw, or Audi with the 1.9tdi. Least you will get cheap fuel then...

    dont think the HP fuel pump seals will like it ive heard it gooses em ...

    Nice winter runaround. Just have to use normal diesel Mark. Still good for 30mpg...

    Used to get 35 out of mine on a long run and 24 towing the caravan. Was a big caravan! Lol

    if you get one make sure it has winter tyre's as the stocks are shit, also ive used one in the snow and it was fooking terrible, you wont get 30mpg around town and i hope you like plastic because the hole front end is made of it lol
