Not having much luck - someone just reversed into my car in a car park

Bother had a fairly serious unplanned op last Thursday - went to see him at Homerton hospital, Hackney, London - bit of a shit area.

I hada great space in the car park also the last but it was an end one so only one car on drivers side.

I came out after an hour an the front number plate is hanging off, the black clubsport type splitter has been pushed down and there are some marks to the m sport bumper.

I reckon it needs a pair of splitters - new number plate surround and plate itself, bumper respay - good news is that the guy that did it left his details and actually came back when I got to my car.

He wants to go outside of the insurance and I'll get a quote tomorrow but I've warned him that it will cost somewhere between 5 and 600 - do you think this is correct given what I've said?

I feel a bit sick now but at least my brothers getting better and this guy seems honest.

I'll get a pick up tomorrow.

Nightmare mate - but you are very lucky he was honest!

All cheap bar the spraying. I got new splitters for mine for about 50 of eBay. Number plate surround is cheap too.

True enough - what do you reckon ball park for the bumper repray? I've used the guys I have in mind before and think they'll do it for between 300 and 400 but you never know - I should be able to take it to them tomorrow.

Gutted but at least the chap didnt drive off. As panther said splitters off of fleabay around around 50-70, i have a spare pair for mine as one is pretty much got a hole worn through the bottom of it now. Genuine ones are about 130 a side! I can understand he wants to settle out of insurance, we all pay enough for insurance with out relatively minor damage bumping it up hundreds but as the others have said youll have to go down that route if he gets funny with the price.
