so heres the scenario a typical dreamer and optimist is on about putting the pistons and crank from an M54 330 into his e36 323 M52 engine to increase the displacement and then bolt the head, injectors, exhaust etc back on it in the quest of acheiving summat like the 330's kind of 231 output figure? which has double vanos, bigger lift cams n valves and bigger exhaust bore to name a few things different about the 330..
is this guy credible?
so i said just stick a cheap 328 engine in it instead far cheaper and quicker and yal prolly acheive a better output then with a strangled bigger displacement 323 cum 330 immitation engine anyway to which he scoffed and showed contempt for my suggestion...
so im guessing he wants to up the CC while keeping it lookin stock on the log book etc? so if he wants to go to such an extreme why not just buy a real cheap 328 with a blown HG, shove the crank and pistons off it in his own M52 323 block and slap the 328's head on it and injectors etc etc, map it up and he will have a 328 in everyway but wot it actually sez on the block stamp/logbook?
or am i missing summat cos i cannot see the point to any of the above myself
