    The fitting kit I used was for a ford Transit so you could probably get just the right washers from a ford garage instead of the kit above and save a couple of quid and some hassle

    I saw this in your previous post Phil so phoned Ford & they said the washers come within a kit & so worked out far more expensive than the washers from MG

    Mean so and sos. I must admit I went for the convenience. However, I think the real solution is going to be to go traditional, pins through the plate going forwards and washer things inside like many other vehicles. Spreads the load over a larger area
