    Retrofit headlight washer wiring

    Hi just a quick guide,
I have fitted the headlight wash system to my e46 touring, the power to the windscreen jet will not power both pumps so this is what I did,

2 relays from maplins 30 amp 12volt, and wired it as below
    85 earth
    86 windscrean washer
    30 live
87 to 30 live second relay
    2nd relay
    85 earth maybe
30 live feed from first relay
    86 headlights
    87 headlight washer pump

With more time I could have mounted them better, but it works well where they are,

    Hope this helps,
    Thank you,]

    Retrofit headlight washer wiring

Forgot to say, the washers only come on when the headlights are on, when you would need them the most,

If this is a guide then I recommend you don't screw them into the washer bottle........

Fare point, but there is not a lot of room around there, the guide was more that it can be done and wiring, I did screw them in at the very top of the washer bottle so unless the bottle is full to the brim then the screws will not be in the water.
