Thread: Renovo soft top roof dye first hand experience loads of pics.

my roof on my m3 has been looking a bit faded and stained for a couple of years now and sfter forgetting to treat it last year the mold and stains were realy bad. so i did some research and renovo roof dye seamed the best for the job.i watched there own video and it looked so simple,haha.







so first up i soaked the roof in the cleaning agent and then used a nail brush 20 min after to get the dirt out.







then i parked it in the sun to dry out.





then when dry moved it back in the shop and started applying the dye the instructions said wipe any surplus off paintwork with damp cloth what a lod of rubbish this stuff went everywhere and dried on the paint.

ill have to post in sections as it keeps scrolling back up everytime i come off scree,annoying. anyway pics off the roof being dyed.















realy you need to fully masking tape and paper the car up as i had to use thinners to get it all off and it took ages, after leaving it to dry i then applied a second coat and same again left to dry.



it realy is a messy time consuming jobbut my roof looks like new and is totaly weatherproof and looks great for years to come.hears a pic from yesterday 3 hours after id washed the car.




after 24 hours you can apply the sealant part which i taped the car up this time two coats later and a very bad back and wrist id done.



and the waters still there this morning. hope this helps as id wish i had known some more before i got it all over my car.

We've had our sunshine now bill,let's park them up till next year haha.

On that note tho I need to de- tar the rear headrests I did some cruising when it was sunny.
