How to Post a New Thread

We occasionally get asked how to post a new thread on the forum. Here's a basic guide on how to do it.

First of all, choose the appropriate section of the forum. For example, if you want to ask a technical question, either select the appropriate model section from this list:

Or this list, if more applicable to your enquiry:

Once you've clicked on the section you want to post in, look to the top left of the page. You'll see this:

Click on 'Post New Thread' and you'll come to this page:

Type a title that gives a good indication of your query or question (typing things like 'Help' or other vague titles is discouraged as people may overlook it) and then type your post in the big text box. If you want to add pictures to your post, either follow this guide: http://www.bmwforums.info/how-use-bm...post-them.html or use an image hosting site such as Photobucket and copy/paste the 'IMG' code into your post.

When you've finished, scroll down the page until you see this:

Two options there. If you want to see how your post will look before adding it to the forum, click on 'Preview Post' (if you preview it, you'll still need to click 'Submit New Thread' on the next page before it'll appear on the forum). If you want to post the thread, click on 'Submit New Thread'.

Any questions, feel free to contact any of the moderating team.

    Thanks
    F**k you, Photobucket
