A few threads about discounts have been posted recently that can't be opened (both by @watty, IIRC) This is because of the malevolent goblins that live inside the BFI server and their unfathomable hatred for the percentage sign in titles. So, just for future reference, when posting threads about discounts you've found, please remember to write the word percent in the title, instead of using the % sign. There may well be other signs and symbols that anger the server-goblins, I'm sure @Ferret will enlighten us if so.

    Thanks.

Yes, unfortunately it's due to the software we use to convert thread titles into search engine friendly URL's hating the '%' symbol. As far as I'm aware, that's the only one it struggles with but there could be others I'm unaware of.

found a neat way to change thread titles
go to your profile page click on your latest started threads the place the mouse curser next to the last letter of the title you want to change
you want the curser to change from an arrow to a vertical line just before it changes to a hand icon then double tap on your mouse pad it should change to what is in the pic below
    -screenshot-7-png

you can now change the title to what ever you want
